Was in Branch management with HSBC Sri Lanka and later was Head of Retail Operations of Standard Chartered Sri Lanka and finally was its Head of Treasury and Securities Services Operations. Was General Manager of a Wet Processing and Garment Dyeing company working with some of the world’s top Clothing Brands for nearly six years.
Drove key Process and Standardization programmes along with Service excellence and Quality assurance initiatives in the Manufacturing industry and led the Introduction of Volume and Capacity planning, KPI, and Metrics based performance Management within the Banking Operations Divisions.
Channa led the implementation team that introduced WorkFlow solutions for Central Operations and the Introduction of Operational Leadership Discipline programmes in Standard Chartered Bank.
Channa’s General Managerial experience and his many years in the Sri Lankan corporate scene has given him valuable insights and connections into the Sri Lankan state sector and its private sector, and this strength has helped in facilitating business promotion and development work.
